SC Walk to School Day

Join Safe Routes to School on March 5th, as thousands of children and their families celebrate South Carolina's Walk to School Day. This one-day event established by Partnership for a Walkable America, commenced in 1997 in order to build awareness for the need of walkable communities.

South Carolina's Walk to School day serves as a way to highlight the need for safe walking routes to school and encourage active transportation to and from school. Active transportation can increase physical activity, reduce pollution, and foster a sense of community. Safe sidewalks and streets also add economic value to our community!

Join the effort!
