« Back to calendar « Previous Event | Next Event »
Saturday January 12, 2013 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Quality Certification Services (QCS), one of the major certifying agencies used by North Carolina organic farmers, will be hosting a free, day-long workshop on organic crop certification.

CFSA is offering FREE consulting assistance to member farmers that are serious about seeking organic certification for their farming operation (see program description and application).

However, participants must first attend an approved workshop to learn the basics of certification. Attending this upcoming event will help qualify you for participation! Farm Services Director, Karen McSwain, will be there to share information on the many programs CFSA offers to organic farmers.

Location: The Comfort Inn in Oxford, NC

• USDA National Organic Program Organic Certification for Crop Production: Principals, Practices, Materials and Records

• US-European Union Equivalence Arrangement and Japanese Export Agreement: Requirements for Organic Crop Production
