Slow Food's international exposition of good, clean and fair food draws over 150,000 visitors to Turin, Italy every two years. Small-scale food producers from all over the world travel to the event to share their excellent foods, allowing visitors to discover and taste Slow Food Presidia products and cuisines from all over the world, attend some of the hundreds of Taste Workshops, participate in conferences and learn from chefs in the Theater of Taste program. The ninth edition will be held in late October 2012, simultaneously with the Terra Madre world meeting of food communities.
Terra Madre Turin, Italy
Terra Madre is Slow Food's project to build an international network of food communities, including food producers, cooks, academics and youth, working to establish a system of good, clean and fair food production. Thousands of representatives of these communities come together every two years at the world meeting of food communities to exchange experiences and discuss solutions to common problems and build regional projects. The fifth edition of Terra Madre will be held over four days in late October 2012.
